Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist with asset management and administrative functions within the Department of Basic Education.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the maintenance of departmental asset registers
- Conducting asset verification to confirm the existence and completeness of departmental assets
- Facilitating the movement of assets within and outside the Department
- Assisting with the disposal of departmental assets
- Receiving newly acquired assets
- Updating asset records following delivery
- Assisting with monthly reconciliation reports between BAS and HARD/CAT systems
- Assisting with the preparation of asset notes for interim financial statements
- Assisting with asset notes for annual financial statements
- Assisting with internal audit queries
- Assisting with external audit queries
