Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:

Groundsman Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining departmental premises, gardens, equipment and surrounding areas.
Maintain Premises and Surroundings
Duties will include:
- Cleaning the premises and surrounding areas.
- Emptying dirty bins.
- Keeping outdoor areas clean and presentable.
Maintain Gardens
Groundsmen will also be expected to:
- Water gardens.
- Prune and trim flowers, plants and trees.
- Mow grass.
- Remove weeds and garden refuse.
- Apply insecticides where required.
- Cultivate soil for planting trees and flowers.
Maintain Gardening Equipment and Tools
Successful applicants will be responsible for:
- Detecting and reporting malfunctioning gardening equipment.
- Reporting damaged tools.
- Carrying out minor repairs where appropriate.
- Cleaning machinery and equipment after use.
- Keeping gardening tools and materials in good condition.
- Requesting gardening materials when required.
