About the NHBRC Office Assistant Cleaner Position
The Office Assistant will provide both logistical support and office cleaning services while ensuring that the workplace is maintained in accordance with Safety, Health and Environment requirements.
Unlike a position focused exclusively on cleaning, this vacancy also includes office administration and customer-support responsibilities. Candidates should therefore be comfortable interacting with clients, handling documents and assisting other office staff when required.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants interested in the NHBRC Office Assistant Cleaner vacancy must have Grade 10 and at least two years of experience working as a cleaner and in an office assistant or office-support environment.

- Assisting with lunches and refreshments when required.
- Cleaning offices, desks, computers, telephones and other office equipment.
- Vacuuming and mopping floors and cleaning chairs.
- Emptying rubbish bins, washing dishes and cleaning mirrors, cupboards and doors.
- Purchasing approved office supplies within available budget provisions and submitting the necessary supporting documents.
- Supporting the Receptionist or Help Desk when required.
- Helping walk-in clients create profiles on the NHBRC digital system.
- Assisting clients with registration and renewal applications.
- Checking applications for completeness and assigning them to customer service consultants.
- Helping clients book technical assessments.
- Assisting with Safety, Health and Environment and audit-related queries.
