Young South Africans looking for an opportunity to gain workplace experience in the public service can now apply for the Department of Home Affairs Cadet Learnership Programme for 2026/2027.

The 12-month programme is offered by the Department of Home Affairs in collaboration with PSETA and combines theoretical training with practical workplace experience.

Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of R4,500 for the duration of the programme.

The learnership is aimed at unemployed young people who have completed Matric or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification, making this an excellent opportunity for applicants who want to gain practical skills and workplace experience within the Department of Home Affairs.
