Salary

Minimum Requirements
Applicants interested in the Department of Health Auxiliary Worker vacancy should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 10 to Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 3 to 5.
- At least one year of exposure to a hospital environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The appointed Auxiliary Worker will support the hospital workshop and logistics functions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Receiving goods and materials delivered to the workshop.
- Storing, assembling, packing and unpacking goods.
- Registering goods received from stores.
- Checking deliveries and signing delivery notes after receiving goods.
- Issuing materials according to approved work orders.
- Assisting with stocktaking.
- Packaging and labelling workshop materials.
- Organising materials on racks and shelves.
- Verifying tools and equipment when they are delivered.
- Maintaining accurate records of tools, equipment and materials.
- Keeping the workshop and workshop-related equipment clean.
- Assisting artisans with workshop-related tasks.
- Carrying out basic repairs on non-life-support medical equipment where required.
- Assisting with basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
Candidates should therefore be comfortable performing both physical and administrative tasks in a workshop environment.
